On 7 October 2020, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sabine Kunst, President of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, visited our institute. She thus accepted the invitation of the IASP's management, extended in the context of the discussion on the further extension of the An-Institute status in the HU's Academic Senate in July of this year. The President informed herself about our history, our achievements and current issues of cooperation between the University and the An-Institute. Ms Kunst was impressed by the breadth of the topics we work on and the consistency with which we strive to put our research results into practice. Since the university management is currently preparing a transdisciplinary project on urban ecology in Berlin, further concrete points of contact immediately arose. It was the first time in the history of the IASP that a rector or president of Humboldt University visited us on site.
