Agricultural experimental station Berge

Soil

Plant growth and biological activity are essentially determined by the physical properties of a soil. Due to its special location between the Nauener Platte and the Märkisches Luch, the  Experimental Station offers the possibility to conduct field trials on various mineral soils. In addition to the light sandy soils typical of Brandenburg (25 soil points), there are particularly medium-quality soils (35-40 soil points) and sandy loams with up to 65 soil points. The soil type can therefore be specifically selected for field trials. In addition, the range of available soils can be used as an experimental factor.
